I don't know anything about

I have to change the camber and Toe arms on rear
And get some adjustable vorshlag camber plates up front

Then I have to address the absolutely woeful brakes that's fitted to these cars

These are all good for the road and the drags but far substandard for the track

The Farm is invitation only so you need to know someone who's been to get a look in.

Its a great track with some really nice elevation changes and a couple of long straights, there is no run off and where there is the gum trees and berm banks are the things to watch out for. It's owned by Dean Wills and his son is usually up there when the track days are run. There's also no cameras (phone/video) allowed

Marty congrats on the new ET! thats moving along

Loving that effort! I know exactly how hard it is to get a radial tyre 6 speed down Sydney Dragway.

The track was terrible, you might as well drive on ice.

Best I could manage was 11.6@129mph with a 2.0 60ft

I really wish they prep this track properly, I'm spinning through first and second.

There definitely a 11.0 flat there or even a very high 10s pass

Most drivers I spoke to said the same thing, it was slippery.
Drag strips are not prepped for racial tyres and never will be. You'll never get good traction without slicks. Radials actually cut through the track prep and stuff the surface up.

I never said I used radial tyres, I'm running semi slicks

They never prep the track properly at wsid.

The only time it gets super sticky is after a championship event

If cars with proper full slicks could not get decent times what's the hope for us

Last Wednesday on my first pass traction was good as I was one of the first cars out and the rest got progressively worse as the night went by

I know the car is capable of a flat 11 or maybe a 10.9, it's only a matter of time

Just waiting till they run a big event then I give it another go

What is it with Australian tracks and appalling prep. They just keep their hands out taking money from all the punters turning up and pocket it while the track gets worse and worse.

Wsid is bloody bad I have to do my own 1/4 mile timing using the vbox to keep them in check, especially in the left lane and the right lane you have to keep as close to the centre lane as possible as there is a massive dip and every time I drive over it I break traction.

That's so sloppy. What's their deal? Are they fixing it or just CBF?

That would be on 15 inch rims with M/T semi slicks

Good luck fitting those to our cars

Yes on a 15" rim on VL but Cortina may be a 16" rim.
My Mazda comes factory with Large rear brakes and I was unable to fit a 16" rim over calipers so I removed them for my one and only Calder Park Raceway run and fitted a 15" rim lol. Managed avery easy lazy 10.50@135Mph first pass

With bigger rubber you get a far better launch, it's like a slingshot effect

But I'm racing how I drive it on the road, no point pulling a mad time yet getting back on the road and a stupid lightly tuned wrx that can beat you

Martymil that VL drives to the track and back full exhaust etc in street trim runs a 7.9@180Mph and drives home even goes through drive through Maccas lol. Your car would be still very quick on the street and much quicker then a lightly modded Wrx lol
