It's about the handling..really

I followed a nice looking orange mustang up a long exit ramp today. He tried to impress me by taking the second lane of the ramp. I stayed up with him, but I knew the 90 degree turn would be the test. Sure enough, the stang handling was less than stellar. From my stand point, his car was twitchy and at the limit and he had to slow down, while my 1 was rock solid.

Obviously, when the road straightened out, he took off like a rocket. I love the handling of my BMW. Really...

Just be sure you are not discounting the possibility that what you witnessed was not the car but the driver - usually the weakest link in performance.
