That was me on Sunday. What a freaking blast the car is. At the very end, you can see just how fast the car accelerates. I took some in car video, that I left at home. I'm on yet another business trip, and will up to youtube when I get home.

Btw, Achtung, I shifted to 2nd at the start of my run, and stayed there the whole time (that vid is near the end of my run). No shifting, but there is lag. I timed the throttle well on a few runs and pulled some decent times.

In the rain, I was the fastest car out there, until it dried up, where I became limited by the runflats.

We run at the retired Fort Devens Air Base. We have pretty much the entire airport to use for our autocross, and we are fortunate that it is WAAAY better than using a parking lot.

The 1er is pretty good at autox!

He did say something about "only 2 wheels" but I took it to mean only 2 drive wheels as opposed to something AWD like an Evo or STI which typically have better cornering capabilities.

Oh don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to sound insulting...in fact I loved the sound!! Its a great vid and the commentary is priceless. I'm waiting to hear a BMWCCA event auto-x where the guys watching the cones start insulting how our car looks, only to see how fast it dodges cones.
