Interesting call from BMWNA

I just got a call from them to ask me what improvements I think should be made to future models. Has anyone else gotten one of these calls? I didn't have time to talk, so hopefully they'll call back when I have time. I'm gonna suggest they have periodic "buy one get one free" sales.

If you get a chance to talk to them again, tell them to give more options w/ the bluetooth capable phones, such as the samsung t809 :-), the selection sucks as a T mobile user. --thanks!

I've seen this as a running theme here: the car doesn't work with certain phones. The Bluetooth specification or certification testing must be weak. It shouldn't matter which phone you have. As long as the phone supports the profile needed it should work regardless of the manufacturer of the phone or the car. That's why thay make these standards.

I'd ask BMWNA to stop limiting or delaying options from the US market. i.e. Lemon interiors, M-Sport pack, front PDC, certain colors. These don't require any DOT certifications, no cost to BMW AG or BMWNA right?

I agree with you Jon. It seems to me that BMW is sleeping with Motorola...some sort of business incentives---just the way that motorola used to be the standard phone in MB and BMW back when they had the star-tech car cell phones

Just for the record I have an unlocked Treo 650 (GSM) and it works fine with the car even though it's not an "officially" supported phone.

Right, not the add-on availability of the air dams, but the whole schmeer M-pack (interior etc.) as an option for a new order car.

Don't take this the wrong way (nothing personal to do with you), but why the hell are they calling someone who has had his car a month? Why not talk to some of us that have had our cars for almost 8 months? In one month you're still in the honeymoon with your car and discovering its features, etc. But at least they're asking someone.

Are you sure this wasn't the sales follow-up call?

Here's some of the things I would mention. Maybe it strikes a chord with you too.
  • This isn't really an improvement, but I would like to see more interior options.
    • I really want black wood interior without having to pay for Individual Program.
    • I would like to see a darker/charcoal grey leather option as well. Something between black and the light grey currently offered.

  • I would like to see BMW make the clown nose blink without having the alarm (like previous models).

  • Addition of front PDC so my fiancé doesn't ruin the front lip of the low riding sport package on cement parking space blocks.

  • A flux capacitor for time travel - currently only an option on DeLoreans.

  • SMG or other paddle shift option.

  • I would like to see some official press release about the coupe sometime before the next millennium

LedZep, maybe BMWNA randomly took his name out of a list of people who have owned multiple new BMWs in the past and now have an e90

the e90 is my first BMW and BMWNA called me and did the same survey. In fact the called a few times, they never leave a message. When i called back the number it said that a BMWNA tried to call but you werent there, they will try back later." This was about 3 weeks after i took delivery of my e90. i think all i said was run-flats sucked. i wished the would have called now.. i got a whole boat loads of stuff to tell them. oh well..

Edit: Standard Bluetooth and universal remote (garage) for the 325 & 330.

Yeah, I got that call too. I was busy at the time, so they said they would call back another time. They never did.
