Electrical question.
Does anyone know what in the 135i continues continues to run for about 15 - 30 seconds after you turn the car off and lock it? It's something that is drawing electricity. Maybe comfort access has something to do with it? Any ideas are welcome.

Could be...
low pressure fuel pump(LPFP) to circulate fuel to prevent vapor lock when the engine is hot. electric water pump circulating coolant to the turbos and (around the)cylinder head.

Are you talking about the high pitched whine from the engine compartment? Is it causing some sort of trouble? I'm pretty sure you're hearing the throttle body motor.

Once the static starts while driving it doesn't stop. It doesn't vary or get louder or quieter. Pressing every button or pedal doesn't manipulate the sound at all. Always the same sound. Until I turn it off for a little bit.

Most owners notice the static after they shut off the engine and the radio is OFF, but the clicking emanates from the speakers. SW fixes this.

If your out of warranty i wouldn't be concerned about that. I don't see how a tune would affect a sw update; albeit I'm not well versed in that. Maybe somebody with more knowledge can chime im
