True.. But without the wider track of the M3 rear end.

I am only guessing... its the only logical conclusion for me.

All going well I will have the ESS and Akra on Vader sooon, I want to see how it goes in Pete's rollers-of-death. I think it will be good to have the trio of tunes on the same dyno, if not the same day....

Pete, wasn't there an upcoming 1M day in the calendar?

Footnote: once the new lip is installed I think Vader will eat you guys hahahahaha

Dyno figures mean nothing if you can't get it to the ground... At least with 400meters by the end of it you have a trap speed which gives a better indication of real world power.

You would think that only matters on the corners, the dyno has no corners

That's ok, I don't really like AFL either...

Only problem is, the 400meter's doesn't lie, the dyno well... there can be discrepencies...

I made 295.8wkw on a mainline dyno that reads approximately 5-7% less than a dyno dynamics.

Yep around 13 or 14 October so there is plenty of time to get all the tunes sorted

I would say that mainline read 20rwkw under a DD.

Holy bajeebers...

Well either way, emack makes more than mine did, and pretty much all the qld boys too. So must be good for a solid 11.7 quarter mile tune only?

Happy to go for a test and tune , but hate waiting around for ever on a Wednesday night for a run with all the Bogans in old shitters

100% Mainline power numbers will bring a tear to your eye if you spend a lot of time on DD dynos, best not to compare different dynos or there numbers always do back to back testing on the same dyno

So I should be good for around 310-315wkw on a DD. I'll have to come around one day and get her on your dyno Pete.

Congrats Great nos. what's the approx drivetrain loss with these things

I agree, here in QLD the drag strip is less than 1 Kim from the circuit.
so its fun to to do a track day then be first to a test n tune afterwards. Hardly any waiting, do about 4 quick runs then watch the show

I love the legal side by side stuff. Even when smoked by something.

Agree with all other EvolveR implementers...........what a difference it makes and why didn't BMW deliver it this way??????
Get some toyo r888's. $550 (255 35 18) from ebay (sydney)!
They're amazing and i've never had more grip.. even on a cold day like 12-14 degrees, the "off the line grip is insane"! In the wet they are great too, being semi's.. The only thing is when you come from dry to wet surface the tyre will aquaplane =Z

The car hasn't been tuned to be fastest around the track. The brief was to have a car the M engineer would drive on the weekend - ie very tail happy, but not in a straight line. It puts power down very well.

Some simple adjustments on the alignment would help. Currently running natural fronts and 1.5 toe in rears.

Now, the tail flicks out in a controlled manner. I think it just surprised people as BMW hasn't made a car this neutral for a while. I believe the new M5 and 6 are also tuned this way as the new philosophy is the nannies looks after you. When you turn nannies off, you will get what you want.
