Odd speedometer issue

So my speedo in my 2007 bmw 135i seems to be lagging behind when acceleration and when Bern such as i will be at almost a dead stop and the speedo is still coming down from 20 and i was wondering what it could be. It all started after i did a one wheel peel at a local car show. Don't flame me for the peel i just wanna get to the bottom of the issue
