I'm interested in the event but its a tad short notice for me.

Never done a track event in my car yet, all the events seem to strongly recommend a helmet. Makes sense, and a small price to pay in case something goes wrong.

Just wondering where everyone got their helmets, anything I should know regarding this purchase.
