Its a demo and I just picked it up. Add to that the onset of a Ottawa winter and the looming recession and you've got yourself the perfect storm. They will not give such a sweet deal on a 09. $2200 off an 09 is pretty good.

Unless you drive in traffic all the time, get the manual! Even then I'd still get the manual. The 135 has so much usable torque that I find myself getting lazy and often pass without even downshifting.

Is this the dealer skimming a few extra $'s or is it right that we have to pay tax on these levies?

.
$2195.00 Freight & PDI
$100.00 Air Conditioning Tax
$25.00 Advance Disposal Fee (Gov't charge for vehicle w/o spare tire)
$300.00 Lease Fee (Was also quoted $195 from another dealer)
$295.00 Documentation Fee
$5.00 Battery Levy
$34.26 PPSA Due on Delivery

PST and GST are charged on all of the above

Yup, you rarely have to downshift to pass, even if you're going in 6th. Love the torque on this car one of the reasons why I took a 135 over its competitors.

So why are we paying tax on taxes?

I think some of them are called taxes but, really aren't - like the AC tax. The rest are fees for services rendered, which means that we really aren't get retaxed

Hey everyone, Thanks so much for the help.

I pulled the trigger! Soon enough I will be without of my G35 coupe which has been my 2nd G35 and they both had the same problems and I wouldn't get another.

I am looking forward to my 2009 135 AW CR, 6 speed with M Sport, Premium, USB, 2 sets of mats, PDC and USB for $47,375 plus $100 doc and $300 lease fee plus taxes and gov't levies.

I think I got as good of a deal as I could and can't wait for the car. When pick up the car it will be with the Dinan Stage 2 already in her, that I have to pay for seperately.

So other than winter tires and rims what else do I need?? Do I turf the run flats??

Congrats!

Apart from some winters all you need is a Y-Cable for your iPod & you'll be good to go.

Dinan Stage 2 eh? makes my 128i look like a sad little wannabe!

I turfed the run flats for my winters & when the time comes, I plan to replace my summers with non run flats too.

What were the problems with your G35s?

A tint job looks nice on an AW (I did mine if you wanna PM me for pics). I have also ordered mud flaps for all four corners because the amount of "fling" from the wheels is unbelievable! The carbon fiber rear spoiler is a nice touch, as are the BMW Performance side skirts. While I have the BMW Perf front bumper, I wouldn't bother if I were you, the M bumper is just fine.

I also installed the grocery grabber (awesome for keeping bags from flying around inside your trunk) and the cargo net that mounts inside the car in the passenger foot well (good for a bottle of water etc.)

Buy a coffee mug (the carbon fiber "M" one BMW sells is nice) that has a closable lid, otherwize coffee is flying everywhere.

Congrats! Definitely get ride of the RFT ASAP. I don't know where to start on how bad the RFT's are, just change them. Dinan stage 2 is a great pick up how much did you have to pay for that? I'm looking into adding that, can you please give us a review please?

Also you might want to look for suspension work but this depends on what type of ride you're looking to build

Hey Guys,

Problems with the G35's and are consistant with what other owners have told me are 1) terrible paint - the clearcoat swirls so easy and is so soft. Look at any G on the front end they all look like they have just left a sandblaster. 2) Brakes on my 03 I had 5 sets of replacement brakes (6 total if you include the factory ones) in 109K. I have 85K on the 06 and it desperately needs its 3rd replacement set.

I will replace the RFTs with winters when I pick her up and the summers will not be RFTs. If anyone has a set of stock rims let me know, I like to have my cars looking stock.

I will definately report on the Dinan!

My last car was a G35 Coupe as well. However I don't have the brake issues since my model is a 2006. Nice car but the 135 feels much faster and more planted. Anyone want to buy my G?

Coming from my G35 with 19s, the 135 M-sport w/18 RFTs feel fine.

Look forward to the Dinan report. Maybe I'll upgrade in a year or two should I ever feel 300/300 is not enough.

I test drove the g37 and the problem I had with it was that it felt to big/fat. Also, I wasn't a fan of the g37's clutch uptake a bit too abrupt/racy, I also felt the clutch engagement in the first gen g35 was a bit awkward. Still the first gen g35 was a hoot to drive around a track though.

Congrats once again, when's the delivery ETA?

Have you looked into options other than Dinan? Other alternatives make more power and are cheaper...at the potential expense of the warranty.

I would prefer not to post in public as I don't want to favour or slight any dealership publically
