The Ultimate Sparkling Graphite Compliment

my buddy at work who restores old muscle cars sent me a quick note today.

Wants to know the paint code for my SGM so that he can paint the camaro he is working on. Where can i find this info.

i remember someone saying it is on the door jam somewhere?

The code is A22 for graphite. And that is awesome.

Don't know where it is on the car, but a quick Google search shows the paint code as being A22. Bavarian autosport's website confirms.

Do you have the original invoice with your car? It should be on that also.

I believe the paint code is given on the underside of the hood, near the front. I have seen it somewhere, and I think that is where it was.

Phil, similar to installing the SSK, you need to get the car up on jack stands and remove the exhaust and driveshaft to determine the paint code. I believe BMW now puts the code up there.

thanks guys he was looking for the recipe (2 parts black 1 part silver...dash of oregano) not the bmw code. he is going to check to see if someone can cross reference the bmw code
