Jlevi SW | AR Design Oil Catch Can for N54 engines

sales@jlevisw.com | 1.888.JLEVISW | JleviSW | Your #1 Source for High-End BMW Enhancements

The long-awaited ar design oil catch can is FINALLY here! It has taken them some time to perfect how they wanted to implement the OCC, but they finally have it nailed - including hoses and bracketry that are plug and play - no hassles!

Instead of stuffing some steel wool into a metal cannister and calling it a day, ar design decided to use a 5 micron filter specifically designed for trapping oil vapor/mist. This approach is more expensive, but the filtration is far superior, and the canister is very simple and easy to drain.

The filter is also replaceable, if ever needed, and can be done in less than 5 minutes.

Nice and discreet. I'll probably replace my RR OCC with this eventually.

I would do the same except this OCC sits in the same spot as the relay for the BMW Performance Power Kit.

It collects the oil blow by to prevent it from getting in the IC, piping, etc.

Any OCC out there use the same RR installation kit? It is because I want to replace my RR OCC with a better one and do not want to go through the process of un-install and install.

not quite sure. I'll look into that and get back to you.

EDIT

Just got off phone with AR Design, the mounting brackets are removable. However, not advisable to mount the OCC where the RR OCC would be...because that's an area with alot of heat....

They do offer an alternative bracket that mounts it to the passenger side, but further forward where the vacuum canisters are located....

I have a quick question for you. What size are those inlets on the sides of the filter housing?

Will this get in the way of a Dinan intake if/when I decide to get one?

not if you opt to mount it in the alternate location on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Unfortunately we do not stock these locally, they are all shipped direct from the MFG.
