Will 215/45-18 winter's work?
I am looking at picking up a 135i and have a set of Pirelli winter rubber with barely 2k miles on them. They are 215/45-18 which I know is pushing it for the stock 18's and a 8.5 wide wheel but it's very close to a 225/40.
So, thoughts? |

I am running Blizzak WS60 225/40/18 on oem wheel all around. If I were to order tires again I would go with 225 45 18 all around. The rear tires are stretched a lot. I can't believe TireRack recommends that size on rear

215 is too narrow for the 8.5" rear wheels. 225/40/18 is the narrowest size that fits both front and rear wheels correctly.

I didn't intend to say that the fitment is wrong on rear. I have run 225 on 8.5 in wheel before but those were summer tires and I was just surprised that these are running so much narrower and are stretched more than I expected.
