That makes perfect sense. Thanks!

I am a graphic designer, and OH-MY-GOD... I would be shitting my pants right now if I were responsible for that weight typo. I've never seen BMWNA make a typo on their printed material and only once on their website. Heads are going to roll when the art director and press production manager get wind of this.

There is also the slight chance this is bullshit. I could put it together given the images and several hours. If it is a fake, kudos to the designer for using the correct form of the Helvetica typeface. BMWNA doesn't use the version that comes installed on most computers by default.

You are correct.

335i: 3,571lbs
135i: 3,372lbs

Thats a difference of: 199lbs ..!!

The fact that they are offering Terra leather has really, really, really put a kink in my ordering scheme. At first I was just going to get the sport package with leatherette, but now that the beautiful terra leather is offered for US models, it is going to take all of God's power to keep me from ordering it.

BTW, interesting that the pictures show the shadowline trim as these pictures are exactly the same as the pictures we saw in the UK/German brochure just with different trim. Also, the orange reflectors in the headlights are awful. Someone is going to have to offer us US buyers an easy fix for this.

Heh-heh, I think the graphic designer who should be worried about his/her job is the one responsible for the crappy "Shadowline" photoshopping of the window trim. Honestly, some of the work done in the Photos & Videos forum is better than what they did!

I cant wait for this car, I have been toggling back and forth between this and the EVO X and the STI for some reason, but after specs of the STI have been release and both cars looking too Boy Racer for me anymore, I am ready for some class and the 135i is perfect. This brochure has me hopeful that I will get something soon, I signed up on the website thing too so I hope that helps. Also, I truly believe the brakes will be there, the magazines and public have said too much about them for BMW to just say oh sorry, that was a wishful thinking part.

As for the weight, when you think about it, its not that bad. The STI and EVO both are similar in weight and granted they are both AWD but they also arent built as well as a BMW or ANY german car for that matter! This car is going to be a rocket ship, I want safety over weight for sure!

Go BMW

I've had my 335i for a year, and I'm really lovin' that turbo motor, not to mention the rest of the car. The 135i should be a real fun machine.

Well what can you say. We're all feeling bad about the limited options. But at least the 3 series is now back.

That M sport steering wheel missing from a 128i M-sport is really pissing me off though. And if I were a 135i guy, I'd be über pissed about the brakes.

i see the bmw ambiance interior lighting along doors and rear cabin is premium package only.

does anyone remember offhand if these are standard on the e90/e92?

also, no mention of the exterior underdoor handle courtesy lighting.

Well the 6-piston brakes are still mentioned on BMW's Meet the One broadband site. So I'm assuming they just left it out in the catalog? Perhaps preliminary?

Ahhh, that's pissing me off. That locks you into leather if you want ambient lighting. What a bunch of assholes.
