I think the lines show just fine on a nice day with a clean car. I don't care much for lines when the car is parked down in some parking garage with cars surrounding it so nobody can see anyway.. But anytime its out and about with the sun up, you WILL see the lines of my car! I can't imagine how many hours I'm going to be spending outside cleaning and admiring my car whenever it comes

I'm REALLY starting to like these rims.. a lot more than the stock 135i rims. Originally I liked the stock rims best so I wasn't worried about having to spend more money eventually but now I'm worried I'll have to spend even more haha!

Buying a black car would be like picking up a part time job. Not many people really take care of them once they buy them. I like when I see a black car that is well taken care of. Nothing like it. Just rare IMO.

see I have a different viewpoint. I know my black 1er will get dirty ... I even know that most of the time it will be dirty; however when I do get around to washing it I'm going to be soooo much more impressed with the results than had I gotten another color. I know I'm in for years of being absolutely floored every time I get around to cleaning.

Problem with black is it shows every little swirl and paint imperfection. You have to clay it/polish/wax it more often than my normal. And keep it away from auto car washes...
I have a Griots orbital polisher and I know I could keep the paint looking perfect. I thought long and hard about jet black w/coral red interior, but in the end couldn't resist the aggressiveness of crimson red!

I have a brand new FLEX polisher and some high quality searlers/waxes. I'll send you a pic of my Jet Black and Coral Red when she's all polished up:thumbup: I spend a lot of time in my garage and enjoy buffing and detailing my car, so I'll have no complaints about my Jet Black paint. |

I'm in the market for a polisher and I think I'll get the UDM instead of a PC.. On topic though, I'm hope I made the right choice with Jet Black instead of Sapphire!

After I went to the Toronto Autoshow, I emailed my sales rep. right away to change the order on my 128i Cabrio. The original choice, while looks good on printed materials and video, is just way too "tame" and "boring" in real life. (Cashmere Silver) Now it's gonna be Sapphire Black Metallic, (with the Moonlight top), which will be more "menacing", and I think the contrast between the black and the light color of the headlight housings will definitely look great!

I had to go for black. I find black cars look so good when they are clean and polished. You have to be very careful to avoid swirls, scratches etc. But once it is clean it looks great in my opinion. There are other colours that don't show the dust but in my mind a dirty car looks bad in any colour. I figure blakc is worth the extra work for me.

I got mine in Sparkling Graphite Metallic, It looks great. But it seems to me that I changed my mind so many timed dependingon the picture that was taking, I liked black in one picture and then not in another. But they say black cars have the least flaws...becuase you can see every detail....
