Gill: question
Gill, I've been on the tirerack website shopping for a set of all season tires for my 135i sport pkg.
I bought a set of RE960 all seasons from you guys about 3yrs ago, and I LOVED them. I dropped the idea of these for my 135i due to Bridgestone not having the sizes I need. But, I notice that some new sizes might be coming from Bridgestone. I wouldn't mind a stock size set of 215/245, or 225/255. The 225/40 size is listed, but no 245/35 or 255/35. There is a 265/35 with a circumference of 25.3", which is spot on for the 225/40 at 25.1" But, will the 265/35 fit the OEM sport rear wheel? Could you check to see if the RE960 all season is available in sizes maybe not listed on your site or coming soon, to fit my 135i with sprt pkg. 18's? What is your opinion between the new Conti DWS and Pzero all season? I remember the Pzero on my 325i did start to get loud right before 30k. The RE960's were nearly as quiet at 30k as they were brand new. Thanks for your input. |

Nothing new on combinations in the RE960 that would work on the 1. The 265's are too wide for the rear wheels.
I like the Conti and the Pirelli in our testing so far but it's hard to predict, this early on, what they might act like at 30k. Gill

In your experience and knowledge, would you think that either or both the DWS or the P0 would be as good or better than the Mich pilot sport AS?

That would be a very tall order, but I wouldn't rule anything out.

The TR reveiw/test of these tires seems to favor the Pirelli over the Mich, and it implies that the DWS is nearly as good as the Mich. Let me ask this way, of the 3 tires; Pilot Sport, Pzero, DWS, which would you choose for your BMW? Or, if none of the above, what other tires? |

I would choose the Michelin.
