where is my stereo factory amp located?

I have a 2011 135i

Regular stereo not the logic 7 or hi fi or harmen none of that

Just the regular basic stereo


I want to add a sub to my car and I'm trying to figure out where the amp is.

There is no amp with the base stereo.

If you are in the USA and have a 2011 you have HiFi. Amp is located in the left side panel in front of the tail light. To add a sub you will need a Pac Loc and tap the thicker brown wire.

I just put an old school system in my 1 series coupe and it's pretty SICK!!! Not having any issues and I am running an underrated 1600.1 AMPLIFIER and Zapco amp for my front 5.25 Hertz components that magically installed in the doors, 6.5 will not fit without heavy modifications trust me!
