Just a question, if customers are having HPFP issues from bone stock cars, what real reason do BMW have for not covering a car that has had a tune?

The scary thing is that some people are getting failures more than once. So even after warranty periods have lapsed there is no guarantee that it won't happen again, tune or not.

You got that right Craig...
But we are lucky we are on 1addicts and know that there is an issue. What about all those customers who have no idea and BMW screw them because they think it's a one off case. |

Gone through the long crank phase, replaced the HPFP+new software and guess what, flat spot between 2000rpm and 3000rpm and total lack of power. Feels like Subaru turbo lag (spent 3 years with that) which is strange because peak torque is above 1500rpm. Funniest thing is it breaks down at 2600rpm, flutters, farts, stalls and then picks up. Back to the shop and they agree, there is a problem, no one knows how to fix it. Anyone had similar issues??? Software?? HPFP?? Injectors?? LPFP?? Charge pipe??? There is a PUMA on it now but no help from Deutchland.

Hesitancy in the crank on the weekend and lost power when accelerating this morning past 4000revs. Engine warmed up and problem went away. Think i'll drop it off to be checked out.

Mine happened after only 15,000km. They had the car all day, however, once they got the tick of approval to go ahead with the repair from Head Office, it was only a couple hours.
