"2007" model E90 for the US!!
Hey guys...this is my first post on this forum. I am planning on getting a 330i at the end of march and I was wondering if anyone knows when the "2007" model will be released and if any additional features will be added to the car.

You can plan on September 2006 for MY 2007 E90s.
That is traditionally when BMW switches over existing ranges. Features and updates? Maybe a new color or two, tweaks in the front and rear lighting appearance, option package changes (minor).

The NS52 engine just came out - they are gonna milk it for a while. Plus, BMW would be dumb to price themselves out of the 325i market. That's actually their bread and butter car since it outsells the 330 about 2:1. They already push the limits on the 325i after its spec'ed out. They won't risk upping the price on a 328 and moving ppl over to the g35, IS250/350 or TL. Now for 2008 - that's a different story...

For the noobs benefit: The most reliable inside information that I have is that there will be no cosmetic changes for MY07 which will start production in Sept.'06 as a 328i (235hp) and as a 335i (310hpNA)... visually, the only difference will be the badge (and an optional body kit... the M-tech kit we have seen for quite some time) with a face lift due in MY09 (2008) And BTW... don't expect BMW to "price themselves out" of anything... we will continue to be amazed (as we were when E90 pricing was officially announced) by the value of our beloved BMWs.

The reason there is going to be a engine change is becuase asof 2006 the european fuel laws have changed in such a way that "Lean burn Direct Injection Petrol Engines" can be made.
BMW has already shown the official pictures of the technology on the N52 But not all markets have the correct fuel, the USA being one of them ( USA only gets the legislation in 2007 ) So there is confusion as to what will happen in each market Our local car magazine that is very close to BMW South Africa is repoting the coupe will be a 325i and a 335i |
