Thumbs up BMW N54 135i HPF CLUTCH INSTALLATION TECH VIDEO by HorsepowerFreaks

We often do tech videos to help the community with installations for various parts. The GT1 tool and All Data are helpful for many types of installs but don't often have enough information to help you through the entire installation. This is especially true for late model vehicles.

So here's a video we put together that will help any backyard mechanic swap out their clutch in a BMW 135i, 335i and even the 535i.

Chris.

This is the biggest contribution to the n54 community you have ever made. Much more then some overpriced single turbo kit. Nice vid.

Thanks everyone...

We found out after trying two of the new HPF 135i/335i clutches in Tim's car that the fulcrum in the pressure plates were not machined correctly causing the clutch to engage too close to the floor. Our manufacturer determined this today and will be overnighting us another one with the pressure plate machined correctly. We will have a new clutch to test in Tim's car on Friday. Thanks Tim for being so patient with us. We will get this dialed.

Thanks.
Chris.

Thanks. I'm not sure I ever announced the price of the single turbo kit. It will be less than you might expect.

Tim's car is now completed. The HPF clutch now engages at the correct pedal height. There was an error in the machining process on the fulcrum of the pressure plate in the initial design which affected both of the prior installations. The driveability is now perfect along with the correct engagement height. I'll post up some videos shortly.

Awesome! I'm also very excited at the fact that your saying the single turbo kit will be cheaper than we expect. Keep it up!
