Question about Warranties
Hey all, I'm in the market for a used 09 128i BMW and have been doing research. One of the things I'm wary of is repairs and maintenance. So my question is how likely would it be to get a dealer to give me a warranty, what would that warranty look like, and how much would it cost?
Thanks for any and all answers! |

If you DO NOT get a CPO car, you won't get warranty(most of the cases unless car still has factory warranty).
If you DO GET CPO car, you can get factory warranty(if there is time left) + CPO extended maintance warranty. Usually will go around 2000(again, not sure and it all depends on dealership). you can find more info here http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte.../Warranty.aspx http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...nty/Terms.aspx |

Yeah I figured my chances for a CPO at 09 would be slim. But I thought I'd heard of dealers offering limited warranties, like for 2K miles or something on some used cars. I'm not really talking about a warranty from BMW, just from a dealership.

You might find a car covered by some other US dealership warranty like AcuraCare. Slim Pickins though.
Find what you want, have it inspected, purchase it, and go along for the ride. If you are looking at 2009, there are some great deals to be had out there which will leave you with plenty of funds for the inevitable repairs.

I don't think they would CPO a older car but you might be able to find a car that was previously CPOed traded in.
