I'm confused.

I thought it was all in jest, in terms of Sydney/Melbourne rivalry.

I've deleted the mesages that seemed to have caused offence

I've been called a lot worse before, in terms of a running thread of banter. It was no way personal and I'm confused that it's been taken offensively.

Anyway, well done Kris.

Guys, it just goes to show that the impersonal way that the Internet delivers content can sometimes cause massive misunderstandings. Group hug?

Kris seriously, it was definitely all in jest from what I read. A bit extreme to be reporting that to the moderator even if you thought he was serious mate. That is something Langers would do.

Wayne most of the insults have been removed from this post, so now it doesnt look as bad as it was before.

I found them insulting as they were un justified and not called for IMO.

Ryan has since PM me and apologised as he didnt mean to offend me.

Name calling is fine among mates and I have been called much, much worse things in my 47 years.

But seriously, I dont know you guys apart from out friendly banter here on the forum, we are not mates to insult each other,so name calling and sledging is off limits.

And Wayne, to be called a "poser wanker" and a "tosser" on a friendly forum from a person I have never met is not jest like.

There is no way anyone on this forum would of taken it on the chin from a fellow poster, especially you mate.

Joe that is fair enough. And I can appreciate what you are saying. But what I really don't like is reporting something silly like this to the moderator. If I don't like something, I will take it out with the person which I am sure you would. But reporting to the moderator? Come on what are we, 12 year old girls? If someone was being racist or a complete arsehole all the time, then by all means. You have to admit this is out of character for the Doc (which is why I knew it was in jest - whether it offended you or Kris is a different issue). It's not like this is his first post.

No need to get your knickers in a twist. I saw the posts and, like Wayne and smarm, thought there was nothing to them aside from some friendly Syd/Mel forum banter.

And if it really did offend you, why not send the poster a PM instead of having Kris report it to a moderator?

Haha let's start making up words to confuse Larry!

Joe in all honesty I am glad you and Ryan cleared it up. Ryan is a really nice guy in person, just a gentle young man. Let's not beat him up too much as we are already short of doctors in Australia lol.

I think the GIF needs to be animated though, just to allay any ambiguity

Wanking pays off, I guess.

Loser that I am, I am embarrassed to admit that I actually spent 5 minutes of my day making an animated gif out of that wanker thumbnail, and it was funny, but I realized after I saw it "in motion" that, it was just too R rated to post.
