Swapping 128 rims with 135.

Will the 128 17inch rims fit on the 135 setup?
My concern is if it'll clear the calipers. If so....

Is anyone with an 128 interested in swapping rims with my 135 M package rims plus cash?

Pm me if ur interested.

Why not buy a cheap $450 set of 17" from TireRack? They look a lot nicer than 128i wheels.

I'll stick with the oem rims, I'm sure the 128 17's should fit and clear the calipers. It'll be easier this way..both parties don't have to get additional tmps and stuff...

GL with the trade then. Consider this a free bump.

I have real crappy roads around me too, but I dread putting on my 17" snow boots. It's like a totally diferent car to me. I put the summer ones on as soon as I can, even though they're run craps.

I'd recommend going the tire rack route as well, because I think you're going to miss the ones you have when they're gone. But if you still what to trade, might be a good idea to put a FT tag in the title. You can probably just call your dealer to determine if the 128 wheels will clear.

17" should clear, since the 135i also has a 17" all-season tire option from the factory as well.

Agree, though, probably better to go with a Tire Rack 17" setup. You can have them install TPMS, too, so you don't have to bother with it. A lot of wheels will accept the BMW roundel, too, so it'll keep a somewhat factory look.

You'll never regret having an extra set of wheels + tires.

well, the diameter of the wheel doesn't really matter, you have to check the width. really only one way to find out.

Good idea. Why crap up your nice wheels driving in all that salt and sand. let us know if it works out. I'll likely do the same.
