Post BMW Service and Technical Information

Hello everyone,

There was a post some time back about getting technical information.

If ever anyone wants it, I have current TIS, current ETK (parts), current KSD (labour times), Current WDS (wiring diagram system) for both BMW and MINI and pdf files of service light reset procedures for all models WITHOUT tools.

If you make the trip to my workshop and say hello I will burn you what you need while you wait.
If you come in a 135 I will bash you and take the car :-)

Sans 135

Ok, I used to sell this stuff on eBay for $129.00 the lot.

If anyone wants it just email me direct and I will burn and send you copies of whatever you choose for say $10.00 each dvd/cd including postage in Australia.
Up to maximum say $50.00 if you wanted everything I have.
That would take maybe 7 dvd's.

TIS, ETK, and KSD are all simple but WDS is best run from the dvd.
I have loaded onto my laptop and it took all night to load to the hard drive !

If you want service light reset instructions just email me direct with the model you want it for and I will email the procedure to you.

Also have wiring diagrams (electronic trouble shooting manuals) for most early cars in pdf.
Think there is like 12,000 pages in this.
And BMW training 600mb late models 2000 onwards.
Amongst ather things !

Anyways if you need it I can help.

This is the install procedure for TIS:

INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL BMW TIS SOFTWARE

1.Insert the TIS disc into your drive. Windows may try to autorun the disc. Just press cancel.
2.Explore the disc contents and go to the folder called ‘Win95’ and double click to open the folder.
3.Then go to the folder named ‘BMW’ and again double click to open it.
4.Then locate the icon ‘setup.exe’ and double click this. Setup of the Admin program will commence.
5.When asked to select a language only select ‘ENGLISH’. You can change this later if required.
6.It will appear that nothing is happening. Be patient for a minute as the installation is being prepared.
7.When prompted click next and next again. You will then be prompted to select the language once more. Again only select ‘ENGLISH’.
8.The Admin installation should take less than a minute. When asked if an icon should be placed on the desktop click YES.
9.Now locate the new icon on your desktop called ‘SYSADM’ and double click.
10.When the sysadm program opens select ‘TIS’ from the menu along the top of the window. A drop down box will appear. Select ‘INSTALL’.
11.Again select ‘ENGLISH’ then ‘OK’ and wait.
12.When asked if you want to install on CD or hard disc I recommend you select ‘HARD DSIC’ as this is much faster and easier to run the program.
13.System will say ‘DATABASE IS BEING COPIED’ and will appear to get stuck at about 95%. This is normal. Wait a few minutes and it will carry on.
14.Select ‘YES’ for a desktop icon.

YOU ARE DONE !
TIS IS INSTALLED AND WILL RUN
FROM THE DESKTOP ICON

Are you able to source some of the various bmw performance/standard parts alot cheaper than bmw like to charge?

Hi,

Only opened 2 weeks ago so have not done much advertising.

I stock just about all service parts for all BMW's.
These are OEM parts at from 20-60% less than the dealer.

I have posted a thread describing OEM parts versus genuine versus aftermarket.

Please drop in and say hello. You will have to BYO coffee at the moment!!
Dont have a flash coffee machine like Auto Classic but then I dont charge like them either!

Hi Kris,

Sorry, did not explain myself.

Dont do much in the way of performance add ons.
Use Powerchip to extract the extra gee gee's from the 135/335 and thats about it.

With the internet being so big most customers just turn up with a boot full of their required items and say make it go.

I am currently waiting on a price from Europe on some carbon fibre bits for another member but dont really stock anything.
Big $$ to tie up for a small independent like me.
In years to come I do hope to have a large range of this type of item in stock (135i brake upgrades, trim, performance etc etc) but at this point there is not enough cars on the road and not enough $ in the bank !!
Not to mention the variations.
A friend of mine is currently trying to fit an LSD into a 335i.
He bought the diff and when it arrived found that it was a bolt in set but the crown wheel in the vehicle is welded to the carrier and so has to order another diff.

Having said that, I will source just about anything people want within reason.

I have a friend/supplier in Germany that usually gets me prices within 48 hours and parts arrive within 7-10 days of order.
But he only does genuine parts.
