Hit and Run in SF

Got hit and run today.
anyone know how much is the damage around?

From the looks of it, the damage is only on the rear fender. If nothing else is damaged under it (there shouldn't be because it looks like a small dent), I would say about $300-400 for a good repair. Body shops could probably just repair and paint that area for less, but after a few years, the paint in that area might not match the paint in the surrounding areas.

Source: I recently got hit and run and the damage was to my fender and rear bumper. The dents were deeper and the paint was cracked and the total was almost $2k for a good paint job.

my deductable is 1k so iono if i should file insurance :\. I hope there is security camera around there to catch that guy.

Yikes for a good shop to do it right it will probably cost you more than your deductible. I had something similar happen to my VW, some guy just backed right into me in a parking lot while I was in the car me blaring on the horn and all. It was on the door and fender though and it was like $1100. I would have a shop quote you first...

If they can save the panel it might not be too bad (could still be over a grand), but if you need a new panel you can probably double that.

I'm pretty sure they can save that panel though. My panel was worse off, but they were able to repair just fine
