Yeah a lot of people claim that k&n doesn't protect your engine as good as a paper filter, I don't know either way, but it was cheaper than buying the stock paper filter from ATU or BMW. JUst saying.

The fact that no high performance car company that I know of uses anything else also counts with me. If oiled foam filtered as well and flowed better, surely someone would use it. Okay what about Cobb intake filters. They are green filters just not the color green.
