I had an '01 Prelude Type SH and agree fully that that clutch in my 135i is much better. I love the clutch in my 1er. I don't know about easier shifting though. My Type SH had a problem with the 1-2 shift which was very notchy to the point of almost grinding, but my 1er seems a bit notchy through the first four gears unless I finesse it with fingers and palm. All in all I prefer the trans in my 1er but I'm not thrilled with it and was expecting something better.

My '06 CR-V has that same notchy feel in the 1st to 2nd shift. I've ground the a gears a bit in it. My 128 doesn't have that same feel, all the shifts feel very smooth.
