I agree 100%...A badge only identifies a vehicle to those that don't know enough about the car that they are seeing. I prefer the clean look regardless of what I'm driving at the time. By the way, did you see the new badge on the Passat? "Low Ego Emissions"

If you like the look (i.e. clean look) of the rear deck, like I do, debadge.

But debadging because of a new model with a higher number is bordering on being a poseur.

I mean just look at E46. Not to many people put m3 on there 325 330. I mean they either put M or Dinan for having a full kit from either company.

the one who started this thread is pathetic and full of insecurities and the reason he bought his bmw is to have self confidence thats why hes asking us if we have the same reason. btw here in EUROPE WE DONT CARE IF YOUR CAR IS DEBADGE OR NOT AS LONG AS YOU ENJOY IT!!!

Debadging your car to "fake" like you have a higher model is probably one of the most pathetic things ever.

I saw an M5 badge on an E39 5 series the other day (no quad exhaust) which rode by and gave a thumbs down to the driver...and he shrugged like he had no idea what I was talking about...some people are just plain stupid and put a badge of some sort on maybe because they just like how it looks.
