Behold something to make a 1 series owner mad....

Left the gym today to go to car and what do I see but a great dent and scratch from some dick that backed into my car!

They didn't even leave note and no witnesses around, the place didn't have camera's pointed in that direction. Oh well probably at least $1500, and knowing BMW's probably way more. Well have to wait for the adjuster to look at it. Meanwhile I will have to drive around with that blight. And to think I purposely try to park out of the way to avoid door dings!

ouch. that sucks. Yea it really doesnt matter how far you park. I was like that for a few months and i got dinged less than a wk off the lot and it is still there. (everytime i look at it i still feel like crap). Now i just park wherever i want. Like my sister says our car is like the lowest end of the BMW line. The more you care about it, the less enjoyment you will have with the car because of all the worries. With that said, i still care for my car and recently purchased an alarm and waiting for it to be installed on my car bc im a true 1 addict. hehe

Why would it come out of your pocket? You filed a police report right? See what your insurance company says. Usually your rates shouldn't change much in the event of a comprehensive claim when you file a report within 24 hours. I'm no expert but there's something like that in my standard policy with TD...

Ouch, makes me scared to park beside anyone!

Side note, did someone come over from the US to put that sticker on?! Don't they know how to spell "centre"?

Check this out, bmw x3 at thornhill gym runs into parked cars, then like in my case (well not as severe) they just take off without a care! Lesson, be wary of parking at gyms!

Maybe they already have. They could have been returning some karma that someone else gave them. What person of integrity would ever do something like that and drive away?

I had this happen to me at my local gym, a land rover backed right over my hood. He stayed and we swapped insurance.
