And I did mention above in this thread, that someone in the Orlando, FL area needs to visit Nelson at Bimmertech. The sound file loaded in the 1 series amp kit to me is not adequate. The sound file is for a 3 series and I can tell the EQ and delay parameters are not right. It really becomes obvious on certain music material I listen to.

But with that said, I'm pretty happy with the purchase and especially with the group buy pricing. The issues I had with the muddy floppy bass are pretty much gone. So much so that I probably won't worry about getting a sub installed. The amp does fix some of my complaints about the stock non HK system. But not all of them. I still have some issues with the upper mids and highs being distorted and a bit shrill. This gets worse with increased sound volume. But you can only do so much questionable speakers with amplification and DSP/EQ.

I'll probably be looking at doing the speakers as my next project soon.

When you say stock non-HK do you mean the base or Hi-Fi? There are 3 versions for the 1 but only 2 are avail in any given year. The base was only for 2010 to 2011.5.

Also there is no description of the results. Anyone else put in this kit and care to comment?

My model year is the 2013. So it's the 10 speaker Hi Fi system with the door tweeters.

What exactly are you looking for in terms of description of the results? I thought I was pretty clear as to what I felt was the results of the upgrade. If you're looking for frequency response curves and such, I've never seen anyone on the forums post actual measurements.

Your first post in this thread asked for install and reviews.

So my reply below gave you one of my posts where I went through how I went about installing the amp.

And per saying how it sounds I also addressed that in my post below in the bolded section. Not sure why you don't consider that a description of how it sounds.

Ok, that's kinda funny... I read all of that thinking you were talking about the new amp not the stock system and that you did something to it after install to improve it. My apologies. I guess my reading for comprehension at 2:30 AM isn't so clear.

Sounds like an amp improves it a lot.

Did anyone get hold of an E82 tune?

I'm installing Jehnert flatline along with a sub at the same time and running the Jehnerts active. Not sure how to go about the tune and was hoping someone might be able to give me a starting point

Here's the 1 series tune

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B93...ew?usp=sharing

You will need to download Helix DSP PC Tool version 3.28d

http://www.audiotec-fischer.de/cms/l...c-tool-v3.html

Also in your amp set dip settings 2 and 4 to ON.

So after spending some decent seat time with the specific 1 series tune loaded into my amp, I'm so glad we have it. Some of the time delay artifacts I was hearing on some of my music is now gone. Things sound much more natural for the cabin space of my car now. Also if it's even possible, the bass extension is even more extensive and to me much tighter. The overall result of the tune had me dial back the tone controls to now have them set to zero on both treble and bass.

Thanks Nelson for sticking to getting us a tune for our 1 series cars.

Excellent to hear! I am glad that we have a tune available for the amp. I extend my thanks as well.

Now I just need to get my car out of storage so I can install the amp.....

Seriously considering a bummer tech amp to upgrade my hi-fi system.

Are most people running the stock speakers? I take it the tunes can be set up for different speaker systems.

I'm running the stock speakers as well as the tune that it came with out of the box (haven't sourced a windows computer to change the tune). It really does sound great and give the stock speakers some life.

Would definitely be interested in a second group buy.

Previously, the answer was no. I would check with BimmerTech though.

Looks like I'm gonna doing a tune for a pair of Focal IFBMW-S/IFBMW-SUBs, with Focal IC-100s on the rear deck soon.

Focal IFBMW-S/SUB Profile

I've did a little bit of tuning with RTAs and a mike as well as some listening. While the profile I've come up with is a bit more punchy and lively than my home Adam A7Xes, it sounds good in the car.

Setup:
Fronts: Focal IFBMW-S
Subs: Focal IFBMW-Sub
Rears: Focal 100CA

Decided to share since I hadn't seen a profile for this setup before. If anyone has any comments/suggestions or uses/enjoys this setup, please let me know!

Updated as of 4/7/16 - Feel free to redownload.

Hi Nelson,

Quick question - I'm borrowing my buddies dsp/amp from his 335.

I noticed in the software the left rear speaker has the TL set to zero.

Are the outputs reversed or something? I would think that the right rear speaker would be the farthest away.
