iPod playlist doesn't show
I can't seem to bring up my iPod playlist when using the AUX port. Artists, genres and albums all display fine.
Is there a particular way the playlist must be set up? The playlists showed fine in my ex-130i. Many thanks

You actually have to use the genuine ipod white USB cable and then you will have no probs..
Obviously using the USB port alongside the Aux port. |

Thanks Zuzu - I am using the genuine white iPod USB cable - the Apple one you get with the iPod.
Do the playlists have to be set up in a certain way?? I read in the manual something about M3U playlist format (p174)

amk2912 I believe you need to use the BMW 'Y' cable to get the ipod to work correctly.

I couldn't get any of my ipods to work correctly in my e91 without the BMW 'Y' cable. I used the original ipod cables but couldn't see my play lists. They would play the song that I had been playing and I could see the file system on the hard drive.:iono:

Strange mate..We had this discussion about 10-12 weeks ago when some of us got our earlier deliveries..
In the end we all realised that the standard ipod white cable did the trick..:iono: |

Stuffed if I'm paying $130 or so for a "genuine"BMW cable so what I've done is converted all my playlists to "genre" in iTunes (who uses genre anyway) and find that comes up instead.

Dan @ United sells the y cable. Still not as cheap as a normal USB cable, but at about $60, it is better use of my time/money than rejigging my whole iTunes library.

I've found that albums/songs for some artists I've selected won't load onto the display. Instead, it reads:
ALL 0... 1... 2... 3... No matter how many times, I can't get these artists to work. Anyone else found this?
