New 2013 135i

I'm currently in Bamberg Germany but am about to get out of the army in about 1.5 years and head back to Dallas. I'm thinking about buying myself a 2013 135i while I'm here and can get it at a great price.

Been a rx7 guy for most of my life but have a family now so I need back seats (have a family car so this is for me and every once in awhile the kids may need to ride)...

Just curious to how large the 135i group is in the north Dallas area?

What is the average price you guys are hearing people paying for a 2013 135i with a 6-speed and the m-sport package going for in Texas?

There is a great 135/335/M3/BMW community in Dallas. I would not be worried about that at all. I can't comment directly on price. I was somewhat in the market for a 135 before I found the 1M and I would say start at invoice and work your way up. Don't pay over 1000 over invoice, you can do better in the US. I don't think the 135 is anything close to BMWs best seller so they will deal.

Are you military (I ask as you are in Germany)? If so I would think you could get a pretty darn good deal.

Sounds like a very good deal to me, congrats.

You will enjoy the Dallas community, plenty of meets, track days, autocross or whatever you are into. If you enjoy tuning, there are plenty of shops available to address the suspension, engine or whatever you might want to add.

The 135 is great right out of the box, but there are certain areas that can certainly be improved upon depending on what you want to do with the car. There are some great resources available on 1addicts that will point you in the direction of whatever you might want to do. From what I have read the largest improvement for a mostly street driven 135 is replacing the run-flat tires with non-runflat performance tires.

Your looking at between 46-49k depending on your config.

If your in Germany and need space for kids, I think the X1 35i is the same turbo engine based on the 2012 3 series chassis. its also about 9K cheaper.

I am going on deployment in May and will be ordering my new BMW 135 through the military sales. I was just curious how the process was? how long did delivery take? any problems upon delivery?

It was very smooth. Although I'm stationed in Germany so it might work a little different for you on a deployment. It took about 8 weeks from when I signed the order form to taking delivery.
