If u ask me its a waste of money... my parents have it on their 745Li and i dont think they ever use it and it doesnt even really keep the sun out that well. Tinting ur windows would be much better and look better as well ... if it was me i wouldnt get it but thats just me.

probably won't use that often
I had it on two previous bimmers (528i and 740iL). Rarely used. Consequently, do not have on my recently delivered e90 330.

I have the electric rear shade option - its pretty cool driving and at times the sun hits people in the back seat so with the press of a button that problem is gone. But it is rarely used though ...

I would get it just to have fun with it. Like say the Rear Shade, put a lil message," F%^$ OFF!" for ppl who tail gate. Or when your racing, " hows the view from back there!" All with the touch of a button hehe

Sunshade
After having a manual sunshade in my Passat, this was an option that I wanted. It definitely reduces the sun and adds privacy. I had window tint in the past, I prefer the sunshades and the flexibility to open or close them and to be able to clean the inside of the windows. Here is a photo of the side shade.

I don't know really. I think the electric rear roller blind is nice, but the sun shade a tad useless. I would much rather get tinted windows (which i do plan to get)
Right now i'm driving a 1991 E34 535i and the sunshade on it is looking so worse for ware. It won't even fold back in to it's roller thing... |
