Discount on official list prices in Germany?
Hi all german guys on this forum.
Does anyone believe that a discount of 10 % off the list prices is at least achievable? Until now, the best offering is 8 %, but this isn't enough for me. Any suggestions are appreciated!

My UK dealer told me that all they get in discount from BMW is 8% which I manged to get most of (7.5% off list including extras). The best discount I have seen on the Internet is 8.2%. Unless German dealers get a better discount than UK dealers, you may be hard pressed to get 10% off list but you never know, especially if a dealer hasn't done his numbers.

well i saw in france discount up to 10% for a client buying a new BMW (new price always around 45-50 kE) every 2 years.... after 3 cars he had somes arguments to use.
Off price are excluded from the BMW marketing rules!!! In my case (diplomatic sales) i obtained 15% off, which is pretty low compare to others car manufacturer i could have up to 25% with a japan car....)

As you mentioned the Internet, in Germany you can order primary every BMW car via website http://www.intercar-24.de/ with a discount of about 14 %. But I want to bring in my current E46 330Ci Coupe, so I must focus on regular BMW dealers.

Wow, that's cheap. The list price they quote for a 320 Touring (E91) is over 3000 euros cheaper than UK list but I don't know if the trim levels are comparable (UK price based on 320i ES). On top of that the discount they are offering is a full 1400 euros better than the best UK deal I can find, that adds up to over 4500 euros cheaper than the UK price providing they are on the road costs. For that kind of saving I would sell my car privately and go for the internet deal.

Hello ,
I just ordered my car in France but before that I did compare the price between France and Germany. Price in germany are lower than in France but it was not too good for me as when importing the car in France I will have to pay the tax difference of about 5% Still I did negociate a bit with the dealer and was able to get a 9% discount quite easily. It was 2 weeks ago just close to the border with France and Switzerland (below Freiburg). So I think that 9% or even a bit more might be possible for a car in Germany with a dealer. If you want to look for cheap e90 you can check http://mobile.de their are some new cars that were in showrooms or part of some dealers stock for good price. the issue is that you can't choose all the options you would like to have but you get the car in one week of time... Good luck for your negociation!

I ordered my 320d in Belgium with 9% discount + a 1400 euros worth of free options. This was a good deal, I am really happy with that. Delivery will be last week of March.

To benefit from those conditions you have to be a diplomat (ambassador, consul, etc) or member of some specific international organisations (NATO, UN, European Commission, etc).

btw. If you are going this way, you can buy a half-year old car over a BMW employee, with the configuration you want. The discount is normally in every case over 10%.. The best discount i found was about ~ 17%.
