If you travelled at any speed, your headlights would appear to work normally. This is the basis for the general theory of relativity.
In a nutshell, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. However, if you were driving your 330 at 80% of the speed of light and shone your headlights, to you, the beam would travel away from you at the speed of light. This however is impossible since it would have to be travelling at 1.8 times the speed of light and nothing can exceed the SOL. Skipping about a page of equations, the only way to make to make it work is for the observers clock (you in the 330) to be running slow. So as you approach any significant percentage of 'c' (the SOL), time will slow down. This has been proven. In any event, in the words of Mr. Scott "Captain, You canna change the laws of physics".

We at present time don't have a unifying way to explain the seemingly discrepancy between quantum theory and classical law of physics. Nevertheless, law of physics isn't something invented by mankind. They are the working of the nature. We don't know it at present time doesn't mean it does not exist. In fact, we don't have means to travel at speed of light. So put the theory aside and don't go too crazy with the BMW thinking it could break the law of physics... WOW. I didn't realize that little riddle would spark such conversation. But I think the real question here has not been addressed by the above discussions. It seems so obvious to me, but the question would be this:
If you are in your 330i driving at the speed of light, will that car still be slow compared to the mythical 335i?

That depends on whether or not the 335i is limited to 155mph |

That being said, I'm never gonna go lightspeed again. While my headlights worked, my cell phone and the Sat radio completely failed, and I spent all week cleaning bugs off of the front bumper. I got passed by a Lexus (It can go twice the speed of light but can't corner at all). When I got back the dog was dead, my kids were all grown up and wouldn't fit in the back seat, gas costed twice as much and my warranty was up. There once was a girl named Fanny Bright Who's e90 could go faster than light She left one day in a relative way And returned the preceding night. |

Are we talking about xenon or halogen lights? And if you have your xenon's AND halogen foglights on what will happen?

Ha ha just kidding It only works with halogen so far. Xenon tests have proven inconclusive. |
