How likely am i to sell my 2007 128i Cabriolet?
I\'m really needing to sell my 08 128i cabriolet so I can move forward in my life and do some things I\'d really love to do.
I tried selling it at the end of the summer season and one person is still thinking about it and looking for other cars as well, but he\'s been doing this for about 3 months now so I\'m not expecting to hear from him again. I want to get $32,000 as this is exactly what I\'ll owe in march when I bring the car back out. I have pics in other posts on the board (search) as I can\'t do it from my iPhone right now at work but here are the specs off the top of my head: Year: 2008 Mileage: 16,000KMs (not a typo) Warranty is a BMW CPO warranty until September 2014 Purchased vehicle with 9500KMs Colour: metallic gray (dark gray) Transmission: automatic All power options, leather interior, premium sound system, iPod cable, heated seats, sportshift mode, auto dimming mirrors and I\'m sure there is more I just can\'t remember right now. No accidents, 3 very small scuffs in rear bumper, not very noticeable, no other damage. Never winter driven (it\'s in storage right now under a cover) In the sale I will include the cover, all owner manuals, as well as the battery tender for when in storage. So with that said, is $32,000 a reasonable asking price? Like I said I REALLY need to get rid of the car for financial and personal reasons. If anyone here is interested in a car like this send me a pm, I am in pickering, Ontario but the car is at my dads in scarborough. |

As it's a 2008, I presume that you mean to say that it's Sparkling Graphite...?

That price seems REALLY high for a 4-year old 128i (I paid less for mine brand new). How do you even still owe so much on it?
EDIT: Oh, just saw you were up in Canada. Are prices significantly higher there?

Uhh, YEAH. We get royally screwed. Dollar's at parity and the MSRP for a 128i cab in Canada is $44,210. In the US its $36,900. Now the standard equipment is usually different so it might not be an apples to oranges comparison but it doesn't account for the ~$7k delta. Our options are way more expensive too. |

Regardless, $32k is a bit on the high side for a 2008 128i Cab.
