United BMW - Hands-Free Bluetooth solutions
I have two solutions for all of those BMW owners who opted out of BMW's premium package when ordering their car.
Interested parties, please PM me with the title "Bluetooth" with your shipping ZIP code to inquire. First - let's roll with the brand new Visor Clip. This item has been a MINI item for years, and with a few suggestions from BMW's top-selling accessory dealerships, they've made one for us! Attractive customer facing packaging BMW word mark on the center of the device Proper testing and approval by BMW of North America Does not interfere with other vehicle systems Each package includes a Bluetooth Speaker, Visor clip, Car charger, and User guide Superior warranty coverage to the aftermarket 4 years/ 50k miles when purchased with a new vehicle 2 years/ unlimited miles or the balance of the new vehicle warranty, whichever is greater when purchased separate from a new vehicle No installation required MSRP: $119.00 plus tax / shipping Our price: $100.00 with free continental shipping Intl shipping: $25.00 via USPS flat rate BMW Portable Navigation Pro For those of you who want hands-free bluetooth with navigation, I've got another answer. There is a thread on 1Addicts about this Navigation. The Nav unit looks like an iPhone with touch-screen technology. Like I said, it has hands-free bluetooth all the time, and is universal to all BMW's. The sound will come through the speakers if the unit is installed at a BMW dealer. The wire intergration goes through your central headunit. Benefits Attractive iPhone-look BMW Integrated Bluetooth Proper testing and approval by BMW of North America Does not interfere with other vehicle systems Comes through speakers with dealer installation and programming Superior warranty coverage to the aftermarket 4 years/ 50k miles when purchased with a new vehicle 2 years/ unlimited miles or the balance of the new vehicle warranty, whichever is greater when purchased separate from a new vehicle No installation required for hands-free bluetooth Touch Screen technology Dealer installation includes mounting bracket that does not move. Great during hard braking or vehicle accident CONS Dealer install required for sound-system integration Integration with vehicle's sound system will not allow guidance announcement volume control on vehicles with the base audio. (per ianc) Does not come with traffic option Installation bracket price MSRP (with bracket): $565.29 plus tax / shipping Our price: $507.95 Intl shipping: $35.00 via USPS flat rate Interested parties, please PM me with the title "Bluetooth" with your shipping ZIP code to inquire.

The bluetooth clip unit has to be charged which means it can run out of juice on ya... Why wouldn't BMW integrate it into the car somehow so it doesn't have to be charged. I mean it is great being able to move it, but having a wire coming down from your visor might not be the best thing.

It's not connected, it's stand-alone. The charger is for when it runs out of battery.

I guess for the convenience of having bluetooth in your car when you previously did not have the option to have it, the price is well worth it and the hassle of recharging. A great addition to anyone that didn't get the premium package that doesn't want to spend hundreds of dollars retrofitting a bluetooth integration into their car (I heard you could if you had the money?)
