Reasonable outcome given Autocar roadtests are usually pretty mixed in terms of quality output. I cancelled my subscription recently as I was getting fed up with the mag. Interesting only the other week one of their testers gave it a pretty glowing review now they don't like it quite as much.Autocar did the same with the 5 series Touring. They gave it 4 and half stars then another tester reduced to 4. Shows it's all personal choice and Editor doesn't pick up inconsistency. Also their tests tend to have a few errors.

+1. Cancelled my sub last year, too much content was available online.

That's the thing I noticed, as well as some others, that the initial first drive will be raved about and then the full test is disappointing!

Oh well.

Judging by the license plate on the pictures of the VO 1M, Autocar drove the 1M that Jeremy Clarkson has tested for Top Gear.
Now let's see what JC has to say about it next Sunday in Episode 1, compared to Autocar.

I'm sure the mods will come out with an update here, but in the meantime, there are some scans here:

Mind you its an amazing review when you read what they have just written about the Audi RS3. That must hurt anyone buying that car

LOL. "Take the money and run". That could have been me!

Thanks, Gaz. You've just made my day.

Then again, come the full review, they could give it 5 stars!

That was me!!!! I took the money and ran. Sold my slot when i finally decided the RS3 was the most boring and dull looking car you could potentially blow 40K on!

The premium went straight towards my deposit on the 1M!
Best move i made!

Had a call from the dealer today - 1M expected for delivery Mid July.

Weather should be a bit better by then!

Any news on the detailer? Am thinking about using Drive and Shine in Godstone.

I hate to say it, but the 0-100 and 0-150 times are kinda disappointing. Forget the roll out discrepancy that is 3/10 of a second difference at best.

1M (Autocar)
0-30mph 2 sec
0-60mph 4.6 sec
0-100mph 11.3 sec
0-150mph 31.3 sec
0-200mph no data
30-70mph no data
0-400m no data
0-1000m no data
30-50mph in 3rd/4th 2.4 / 3.3
40-60mph in 4th/5th 3.2 / 3.8 sec
50-70mph in 5th 4 sec

M3 (Car and Driver)
C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 30 mph: 1.5
Zero to 60 mph: 4.1 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 9.8 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 24.9 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.4 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 12.6 sec @ 113 mph

AS - i've already told the dealer that i only want the car washed and NOT waxed when i collect. Soon as i get it, i have somebody i have used before - The guy's name is Paul - top guy. He used to valet my Audi S3. I'm having application of paint protection, wax and then polish on top. Mine is AW.

That must be the toughest one line that i have seen in a car review for a long time, thank god they didnt build it with the 3 door body or i may have considered it instead of the 1M.
