Carbon Fiber Trunk Roundel
So I finally found a CF trunk roundel to fit the 135i. I read it one of the posts about using a convertible 335i CF trunk roundel (E93) and just trimming the prongs off and taping it to the trunk. No one seems to have them in stock, but I found a three-piece set on ebay for the E93 which included the trunk. I already had the hood piece, so I guess I just wound up with an extra 82mm CF roundel. They have one left in stock if anyone is looking for it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...E:L:OU:US:1123
So since I finally had all of my cosmetic pieces together I went ahead and installed them on the rear, to include the OEM CF Spoiler and the glossy black badge. I need to redo the trunk roundel as it's a little bit low and slightly off to the left.

Does the 335i (E93) trunk roundel have the same curviture as the 135i trunk roundel? It's just a little larger and the and the pins need to be removed? Correct? I have the overlays currently on the trunk roundel and I don't like "tape mods". Might have to consider this.....

The E93 trunk roundel is the same curvature and size as the 135i trunk roundel. They both have a convex shape to fit against the trunk. You can see in my photos that it sits as flush against the trunk as the stock blue one. The difference is in the location of the pins, where the E93 pins are farther apart than the 135i pins. The stock trunk roundel has tape on it in addition to the pins, so removing it is a bit more involved than the hood one. Same with the E93 roundel I bought, which came with tape pre-adhered on it. So you'll have to shave the pins off and use the tape that came with it, or use your own very thin double-sided tape.

Forgot to ask, is the steering wheel roundel the same size as the 135? Is it a peel and stick sorta thing, or remove and install? Thanks for the help! I have been sorting this out for a while now. Have you tried anything with the engine cover yet?
