118D Reverse gear in cold weather.
Hi all, I'm just checking in for a neighbor of mine who has the above car. Basically when the weather is cold (such as now) she finds it incredibly difficult to get reverse gear (6 speed box). I tried for her this morning while the car was sat idling and have to admit it was pretty damn tight. Quick blip of the throttle eased it very slightly, but it was still notchy as hell.
Puns aside, has anyone else experienced this or is there maybe a known fault in PUMA? She's already had it looked at by the local stealer and they're using the good old "Nothing wrong with it". TIA.

Lester, thanks for the reply.
I did mention this to her (you'd think it was obvious). Not a fix I know but it should at least get her moving first thing. I've seen some recommendation that the transmission fluid is too thick thanks to the cold. Plausible?
