Not sure about the sun protection glass, can only be one of two things:

- The shaded grey top of the windscreen
or
- Darkened rear passenger and rear screen glass

What's the warranty situation with a Superchip? I know they're supposed to cover any failures caused by the chip, but do the dealers start getting arsey if you have one installed?

The new ECU in the 135i / 335i has a ECU access 'count'.

When the car is serviced they will probably do one of the following:

1) Access the ECU to apply an update - will wipe the 'superchip' remap

2) Check the ECU count if necessary which will show that it's been tampered with

I am not convinced that the Superchip is right option as it's fairly easy to detect.

The 'piggy back' versions such as procede look good, but are apparently quite bad for the car according to E90 post.

I hope someone brings out something similar to Superchip's BluFin that can remotely change the remap to and from before and after servicing... but it would need to delete the ECU access count.

Good point...

They told me the same for my Vectra VXR when I had the ECU done. Had the first service last month and they never checked it, or if they did nothing was said or done.

Not sure if this applies to BMW's, the company I am getting it done at said they will remap it back again if BMW change it.

I guess we can only see what happens...

Cool, keep us updated on another thread... would be good to see how it goes as I also want to remap.

My car is a lease car so I have to be VERY careful!

Unhappy What wheels

Just ordered a 118i Convertible in jet black - and cant decide what alloys to order thought I might order 17'' wheels - 2KC V spoke or 2R2 Light Alloy but cant decide. Think light alloy may look sportier but V spoke may look bigger. Can anyone help

Hello all. I'm about to order a 123d coupe, just not sure of spec yet. Expect me to be picking your brains as I try and make up my mind! After lurking here for 6 months or so one might have thought I'd have got it all sorted now, but I keep changing my mind.
