Accessories to ask for
I am ordering my car very soon and I was wondering what did you guys ask to come with the car for free...
1. Touch up paint 2. Trunk tray? 3. Plastic floor mats (are some given at the Germany ED delivery site?) 4. Anything else? |

The rubber mats are the bomb. They're cheaper than the nice carpet ones but they'll protect your interior a lot better.

Is it true that they give you the rubber mats if you do Euro Delivery? Thanks.

My dealer threw in a really nice set of 4 BMW logo carpet mats. They are really quite expensive sold separately as an accessory--$125.00, but that was nice of them to do that. You can also buy the rubber ones with the BMW logo. The accessories brochure also has rubber BMW ones listed, but I just went to my local auto store and bought a set of cheap crappy rubber ones for like $10.00 for a set of four for on top of the carpet mats. They really help in that mud, oil, or whatever else is on your shoes won't get into the carpet mats or floor carpet, and secondly (and this really happens) after you put like 30,000 miles on your car, your shoe eventually wears out the carpet fibers on the mat from toggling between the accelerator and the brake. This happened on my last car. I had a nice hole in the carpet mat from where my shoe usually was while driving.

When I ordered my car, i was so excited that i forgot to ask for any accessories
Is it too late? Should I still try to get them to throw in some floor mats? (The rubber ones are the only things i'm really interested in getting anyways... they aren't priced to horribly so i'll just buy them, but that would be cool if the dealer gave them for free). Also, how much is touch-up paint (black metallic) if the dealer doesn't give it for free?

My dealer was pretty good. She gave me the NAV DVD, a nice little 3 series key chain that retails for about 20 bucks, All weather mats, regular carpeted mats, bottle of cheap champagne and 2 little leather wallet type bag that you can put the keys in.

The rubber mats do protect your interior better and they are easy to clean and will not look worn over the years like the carpet mats will.

I got my rubber mats from ebay! They are factory mats too. Got mine for 61.00 plus shipping and should get here on Weds....Here's a link if you are interested in them. Its cheaper then getting them at the dealership.

Bavarian Autosport sells a set of custom mats that are made of an unbelievably thick carpeting. So thick in fact that they offer a lifetime warrantee. They're called the 'Ultimate Mats' and they are not cheap ($140.00 a set) but well worth it in the end, these mats are stunning. I have a set in my '02 530i.

Sounds like everyone who got stuff asked for them *before* they ordered their car.
Can I still ask for this type of stuff *after* I've ordered? If so, how should I go about doing it? Should I asked now (before it's delivered) or ask when I go to pick up my car?
