Inspection time with Vishnu

I just went to get my inspection done and the car does not go into ready mode.

I tried putting it on the bypass mode and still nothing.

Do I need to remove the computer in order to get the inspection done ?? Would it pass inspection at all.

Inspections can be a bitch. As an experiment I went through the NC state emissions on pass through with the JB4 & it worked.

First year I took it off over a weekend drove the car around till Thursday & it passed. Don't know specifically at what point the car reaches readiness but with the piggy back removed it does.

Also not sure how the proceed works to do this but you want to clear any codes go to your pass through map then take it off.

Once you remove your piggy tune... (or when every your battery is changed or DME removed) you will need to drive the car a few hundred kms/miles before you will see the DME in ready mode. There is no way around that. You just need to drive the car under varying conditions before your DME is in "ready mode".

Most OBD-II scan tools will show you when you get all "five" ready modes checked. I think you only need three out of the five to pass. I just remember you do not need all ready modes - just most of them to pass state inspections.

The best news, is once it passes inspection, and you re-activate the tune, you will be in love with your car again.
