Would be interested to see if you come up with a good BMW tint supplier.

The car should be delivered on Tuesday, then I leave for three weeks to go to the UK on Thursday- so I'll probably get two drives in. Then she's going into store.

You''ll probably have the tint question sorted out by the time I return in mid December.

Gents... sparoz gave me some sage advice... get tinting from your dealer... might be more expensive... but it is worth the hassle/cost to have only one place to have to deal with...

Look, i've sworn all my past cars by a guy called Rob Tait (http://www.cartint.net.au/) who is affiliated with the Subaru WRX Club (Hence how I got hooked up with him). His work is second to none, guaranteed for life with 100% Quality finish.

I had asked him about the 135i a few months back to which he replied

Note he tints for BMW Doncaster and they double the cost that he charges them.

I'm going to ask if he has had any developments with regards to our littles coupes and will report back... I think he charged me 395 for my tint last time from memory. Although that was some time ago.

Well i went to the dealer yesterday to drop of all the BMW Performance parts. There was a AW MY10 123d coupe sitting there and yes it had the larger mirror caps

so i guess i did get the wrong ones .... might possibly have to sell them.... we'll see what happens...

As far as tracking goes he had a look on his tracking and said that it left the docks on 11/11 and was due to be at the PD on 18/11 (not sure where it is at the moment maybe customs??) so FINGERS CROSSED next SAT 21/11 is what I'm hoping for........

GOSH it really is getting close ..... Any news from your end TOTTI ???

$850 is a bit excessive to tint a car. Just tell them you would only pay $500. I paid for around that from the dealer, and never paid more than $500 - most expensive was the Honda I had at $550. You can always negotiate down. Otherwise, if you have to go else where, the most expensive from tint-a-car is only around $300.

Yes, but not at $850.

That was based on the dealer is only going to be $200-250 more than elsewhere. For $500 extra, I will take it elsewhere, that is if you can bear the thought of not driving the car for an extra day when the tint gets done. The better alternative is to negotiate with the dealer so that you'll have your tint for the same price - didn't you guys build that into the initial contract?

Not since dealer said it hadn't arrived yet at the end of last week. He said perhaps I may have it by MID week

well it sound like you might win the race.....

that sucks that you have to take it back to get the performance parts fitted.... that's prob gonna be worse having the car for one day then giving it back
