I didn't mean to take away from the seriousness of what happened. I can totally relate. I'd have the same thoughts race through my mind if it happened to me. Maybe I'm more sensitive to the cancer thing since it was close to home and recent. I fully understand that the statement was said in jest/hyperbole than literal.

So if you do find they guy that did this to your, let us local e90 people know, so we can have a "meet" and take care of this guy.

vlad, sorry for the loss, and show no pitty to that fool if they every cross your path. Somebody scratched my front bumper the second week that I got it! There is a 1/2" by 3" gash all the way through the paint next to the license plate, and my car is black so it stands out and looks like crap. These are the same individuals that grew up with no values, no responsibility, accountibility or regard to other peoples property. Hopefully though, they are also the same people that are scraping the grease off of fast food back rooms, or cleaning the public toilet after I am through with my explosive dyharria. ***Not to offend any good person that does that work, or knows a guy that knows somebody that knows somebody elses cousins neighbors step-son's friend that does that job. ***just in case I offended somebody here, jeeze.

geez...seems like this is happening all too often to the E90's. Poor Bimmer.

After you get it fixed, you want to invest in a high-quality car cover. Not only will it hide what's underneath, but the cover will at least serve as a barrier when things like this happen. hope things work out.

wow i cant imagine how i would react to that...i just got my e90 and whenever i park it on the street i cant help but always worry if some dumb ass is gonna bump it paralleling. What sucks the most is really how inconciderate people are. No note, that is such bullshit. If there was just some way to figure out who did it....then return the favor and not leave a note too!

Vlad, that totally sucks. Are you like in Oakland or something? I hate parking on the street. People will just back into guys n' stuff. If you're in front of their house, they think the space is theirs by divine right. A friend of mine got his X5 scratched in the lot by a someone at the Oxford Athletic club and the guys there were nice enough to give him some club cash to help out.

It looks like someone backed into you or something. I had this happen when I was parallel parked (TG it was my Camry), and I suppose it happens all the time. I totally feel for you. Funny, though, but it makes me less angry than getting keyed, cuz it seems like it was someone being irresponsible following an accident rather than a person with malice aforethought. Maybe imagine that the perpetrator is a demented lady who never realized what had happened, as opposed to a college student with no insurance.

It's all bad, tho.

Don't know about those who are rich (rich enought to buy BMs) but there are those who aren't and if this happen to them then i'd say it's even more terrible. Not only you spend you life savings on a car you dreamt of, you now have to fork out more money to get it fixed...

Money is one factor but there are also things like pride. It will surely hurt my pride knowing that i'm driving a repaired car...

i'm actually on the south side, even worse than oakland. it's the ultimate college hangout. all the rich kids that go to duquesne go drinking there every night and then are being complete assholes. i still have no idea how in the world they caused that damage on my door handle though. it almost seems like someone was pushing a cart full of something and hit it. i don't know. i just don't get how out of all cars that are parked there daily, it just had to happen to me and TWICE IN ONE WEEK!! :mad:

this is exactly how i feel. it's not like i can go out get another car in my garage that i don't have in the house i don't own in a decent area in which i don't live. i got this car for money i was saving for a long, long, long time. i can already hear my family saying "well, that's what you get for getting a nice car" which is completely ridiculous but i'm sure that's what people that live around me think to themselves.

Dude I am sorry about your car. I learn your lesson a while ago. That is why I drive a Honda CRV for work and keep my E90 for short trips (I guess that is why I have 900 miles on a car 6 months old.....). The world is made of all kinds. I haven't been in Pitt for a long time but can't you rent a "parking" place? Hell I'd rather pay a neighbor "rent" on their driveway than see my Baby damaged.

no, unfortunately i couldn't find any car in the neighborhood that would match the damage (bumper hight, color, scratches) so that's why i think it was just a drive-by.

i will look right after work while the sun is still up and see if there is something obvious that i haven't noticed last night.
