true, I guess the only hard part would be where it is recessed. I think if you want it black painting would still be easier and cheap. If you want cf, then the vinyl would certainly be more cost effective.

This is pretty damn close in CF. The only difference is a slight bulge in the lower center. Other then that, its identical to the stock piece.

I had mine painted matte black for like $75. This should at least give you an idea of what it looks like though...

Not sure I would go with vinyl. But it's worth a try and a cheap/easy process.

Why do you say that? The heat issue with the exhaust, or something else?

Looks nice... The only reason I'd rather vinyl, is so I can revert back to shit gray when I need to turn the car in...

Someone has done AW. I remember seeing a thread on this board. I forgot the username though. I wasn't a big fan, the gray adds to the rear.

There have been members who have painted it oem colors, and I personally think there wasn't enough contrast... Didn't look good at all, especially AW.

Yeah, the car in this video at the bottom of the page has it painted AW. I'm not a big fan...

I am thinking of buying some "3M Di Noc" to do my roof. I was also thinking of doing the rear diffuser too(with whats left over) at that time.

I've heard good things about the di-noc's durability and overall appearance.

Here's a pic of the Gravity Autosports shadowline painted diffuser. I sold it and now have the iCarbon. I don't like the color of the stock diffuser and think black would look better on most any One.

Def looks better than stock... That's the look I want, but with vinyl instead of paint.

The GA Shadowline diffuser is only $175, might be easier to just buy that, and sell it when your lease is up.
