HELP! BT Software not installing on netbook!

i just picked up THIS netbook from best buy yesterday and i'm having trouble installing the BT software, i keep getting this message when i click download:



i purchased this netbook to have it dedicated to my car (JB3 interface software & Bavarian Technic tool) i installed the JB3 2.0 interface software successfully but i don't know why the BT isn't

what laptop are you using and are you getting the same message i'm getting when you press download?

I get the error when I try to launch the file after I've downloaded it.

what browser are you using? i believe you have to use explorer 6.0 or higher

I don't think the browser is the issue. The file downloads fine, it just won't run.

(I'm using Firefox, but have IE8 installed as it comes with Windows 7)

I need to resolve this within my return period so I know if I should exchange it for a different netbook.

spoke with owen at BT and he had his developers come out with a new version and that seemed to solve my install problem

I think its the basic Windows 7 OS on the HP (I have the same netbook, from Target). Somewhere on YouTube you can find the code to unlock, though temporarily (approximately a month). Works after you do the upgrade. Its not the software, its the OS.
