Nail in Runflat

i put on my summer tires last weekend and noticed a nail in the runflats, but when i put them on the tpms sensor didn't go off. obviously, the nail was there when i took the tires off last fall and never noticed the sensor.

i've got a minor roadtrip coming up in a few weeks (about 200 miles), and i'm wondering if it's ok to drive on the highway with a nail in the runflats if the tpms thing isn't sensing any loss in pressure?

Just because it's not leaking air now doesn't mean it won't be 20 miles from home. It's a big risk.
I would not recommend it.

I'd get it repaired if possible and if not, replaced. Why risk it if you don't have to?

patch it before it loses air and you compromise the side wall...

The nail/screw is holding the air pressure steady. However, every time the head of that nail or screw comes into contact with the road (which would be every revolution of the tire) you risk compromising that seal and releasing the held air pressure.

Now is the best time to get that tire fixed, and it won't cost that much. Once the sidewalls have been damaged by a total flat, you will lose that tire completely and it will have to be replaced.
