225 front, but could I have 245 or 255 rear ?
8.5" in front an rear wouldn't change the feeling of the car ?

Hi everybody !
I come back because I've some news for you and I'm searching some advises ! I've nearly sold my winter set wheels and tires. So I decided to buy this set of wheels thanks to comar1979. What do you guys think about that ? The 207M will be the set for winter. What about spacers with them ? +25mm rear and 20mm front ? Which are the drawbacks of those ? |

I'll order winter tires soon. I'm thinking about Pirelli Wintersport 210 or 240 in 205/50/17 and 225/45/17. These are good tires aren't they ?
I will ordrer the 269 Performance at the end of the year or at the begining of 2012 'cause know I have to buy winter tires ! I'm thinking about spacers too but I don't know anything about it ! I recently saw Eibach spacers on a partner's french forum here. I would like my wheels to be flush with the bodywork (I don't know if I can say that ). It would be more agressive, better looking, better eye catching, etc ... But would spacers (put on the 4 corners) modify the feeling of the car, the wear of the tires, etc ... ? I asked a firm to tint my windows ... They announced me 470€ (~650$) ... I found it too expensive, so why don't I tint my windows by myself ? Would it be hard to do ? Thank you for your responses |

i use pirelli sottozero on our awd cars - dont know about the snowsport should also be good
when you have to drive on a real snow surface often i recommend narrower tires - eg 205 instead of 225

Yes, it was what I meaned, Pirelli Sottozero (I made a mistake : Snowsport were the old one, and I made a knew reference of tires : wintersport ) !
I had narrowed tires in 195 with my old rims (in 16") but I didin't like the feeling of the car . A good friend of mine has 205 front and 225 rear with a 123d e82 and said me it was a good configuration (we had so much snow last winter ^^). What do you think about it ? |

205 in the front should be ok i think
i run 225/40/18 on my s60R for driving on snow (starting from 5cm) my front tires are to wide on snow surfaces i experience heavy understeer and have to drive any roundabout (or sharper turn) with about 10km/h to avoid going straight and the volvo weighs 1650kg - so you would think 225 would be ok i sometimes wish i had 205/50/17 - but when there is no real snow surface the handling / feeling of the car is better with my configuration i once had a v10 touareg (2670kg) and 265 tires worked fine on snow - so you see weight is a big factor

Pffff, on Salesafetr.eu, the price has gone to 2500€ ... So it's impossible to me to buy the 269 BMW Performance wheels ... :'(
I have all the winter to find a set of tire + rims, but I would like to decide before ... I had a look on Replica wheels, but I think I never buy those type of wheels ! So do someone have an idea of a set of wheels I could have in Europe :P ? Not too expensive, and idealy in gunmetal or something else (I realy like this style : silver color for the car, carbon parts and rims in this color like evolution80 said ). I saw BBS CK, but I never saw them on an E82 before and these wheels are silver ! I saw RH Alurad NBU Race but I don't know this firm and I've only seen it in 8.5" ! |

Hi ! Nice to meet you too ! Your car is very nice too ! Doesn't look look like a 120d ;-) ! I'd rather think at a 135i with some mods :-D ! I love the color ! But I wouldn't have chosen that wheels It's not the Performance diffusor isn't it ? The side mirror kit is so great ! Which cars did you mean looks like a 128i ? Mine, yours or 120d in general ^^ ? Hi guys ! I didn't posted for such a long time, but I still consult the 1Addicts forum
Last week I remplaced the front grill by the Performanc one which gives a more agressive look to my car. I simply pulled it out without any tools (but my hands suffered a bit ). I decided to tune the motor too : I went to a friend of mine in Shiftech Luxembourg. He tested the car two times before and the results were 178hp/368Nm (~271lb/ft). After uploading the rom of the car, tuned it and after tests the results were impressive for this 2.0d : 222hp/468Nm (~345lb/ft) ! We decided to go and roadtest the car a bit and as a passanger, I was impressed . Now as the driver, I can say that the difference gap is enormous between the stock power and torque ... I can see it on my everyday drives. Moreover the consumption has gone down : now I can drive during quite 950 kilometers (~590 miles) (before 800km ~less than 500 miles). So now, after this little speach, let's take place to photos The next mod will be the CDV, I recieved it yesterday from BurgerMotorsport . A good friend of mine will install it next week I think. I planned other mods too : - shadow line instead of chrome line (in two weeks) - carbon fiber diffuser - VMR VB3 gunmetal with Hankook Ventus V12 for summer wheels set (225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear) - tint the windows (but a bit too expensive for the moment) I hesitate to do other things too : - covering the part with 3M carbon sticker under the foglights (like this) - BMW Performance exhaust for 2.0d engine - BMW Performance side skirts What do you think about that ? |

Very nice car!! WoW - almost 1,000 kms on one tank! I can barely break 360 kms on one tank! Seems to me you have the best of both worlds. Lots of Torque and your car uses very little fuel.

Hi all !
Just a little teaser for the photo I will post tomorrow : if I'm motivated I would wash my Silverbullet (<- I stealt the nickname) and if I'm not, you'll have the pics of my car but ... dirty :P I'll update the first page tomorrow and maybe rename the topic a bit ! Edit : The CF rear diffuser from JC Sportline : A bit hard to fit in firstly but finally it went well into the place. At the beginning, I said : holy s**t this f****n' part is too small ! The holes of the diffuser and of the car weren't exactly aligned so I decided to unscrew a plastic part and move the CF diffuser and this part in order to match the holes. It took me almost one hour to fit it perfectly Moreover it's very good looking for the price I paid (300€ with the expedition). Before : After : Last edited by Fidiman; 05-28-2012 at 10:52 AM..
