Final Offer on an '09 135

Hi folks... I'm looking for some guidance and perhaps even a kick in the pants on this one.

I drive a 2000 323 ci in almost new condition (45 k miles) and have been admiring and considering upgrading to a 135 for a while. Well, I've got a deal cooking on an '09 135 6 mt, M Sport with premium and nav and stage 2 Dinan with the Dinan exhaust, in Blue water Metallic, with only 25,000 miles. The deal also includes summer and winter tires. The car is a one owner vehicle and is BMW certified with warranty until next summer.

I'm stuck haggling around the $28-29,000 mark, all in. The seller wants 29 and I would prefer to pay less than 28.

Am I plain nuts or should I be able to do better? I'm also worried that the Dinan exhaust may be too loud for my taste.

Your thoughts and comments are welcome.

As much as I love my 135i, I wish I still owned my 200 323Ci. They don't make cars like them anymore.

I've seen a 2012 135i Msport red leather with DCT FOR 30,995. 10k miles. That's CPO, from a bmw stealership.

As a point of reference, I just got a CPO 2011 135 yesterday for just under $29k OTD (believe the final price on car was $26,700). It's a black coupe with coral red interior and 17k miles on her. She has sports (not m) and premium packages, but no idrive or convenience/comfort.

I had been looking for some time and was pretty happy with that deal, especially since original in service date was mid 2011, so I have warranty cover to mid 2017.

Good luck!

Everyone posting American car prices here is not being helpful since OP appears to be in Canada

Canadian $ and US $ pretty much equal but perhaps BMWs have higher duty in Canada so new cars are higher priced than in US.

That is one great deal you got, 27k is about the going rate for a non cpo car. The cpo alone is worth $2k

Car prices, both new and used, are higher in Canada.

Most of these replies are useless. Having said that, the $29K figure is pretty high, even in Canada for this car.
