128I tires

What is the biggest tire I can put on my 128I with 17" wheels? I've seen the post about the 18" 135I wheels but hoping to get a little more rubber on the car for a better ride. Thanks

Depends on your wheel width. If you've got 7 1/2" wheels 225's should work. There's lots of tire charts available online or check Tire Rack for tire fitment advise. I use 225's all around on my car and think they're perfect for the power and balance of the 128.

You've likely either got 7" wide rims all around or 7" in the front and 7.5" in the rear. I'm running 225/45/R17 all around with 7" square and it's all good. Just go to Tirerack and under the "specs" tab of the tire make sure the "Rim Width Range" includes 7" and you should be good to go.

FYI, I'm running Michelin PS2 ZP, which they no longer make in this size.

I went with the factory size in BFG G-Force comp 2 A/S flavor. They are excellent tires so far, so glad to not have run flats anymore!
